There are 1001 things a community can do to help itself, build resilience and create a better place to live.

With the best will in the world, all things can’t be done at once and it will be one of the jobs of the Belhelvie Community Trust to identify community needs and wishes and with community consultation, turn them into the priorities and actions.

We have applied and been granted money from the National Lottery to help us get started with The Sand Bothy social enterprise project.  We are also very grateful for those who have also contributed towards the growing success of the project in creating exhibition and learning space for community use.

We have in the past received presentations which suggest we can do more  –  and we would wish to hear from people who would like to become members, (as any local person is entitled to be) and help us create a better and bigger vision for the future.

We are members of the Development Trust Association Scotland (DTAS) and you can see from other communities (watch the video) that an enterprising open community can achieve big things.

Now see one inspirational way communities can deliver it.
