Better Balmedie had a day in the Sun on Saturday with their plant sale. Currently without a permanent base, they continue to raise funds to imp[rove the the village and with projects such a ‘Sensory Garden’ in the planning. The sale (May 27) was a big success raising over £400 net for the groups activities. The sale took place at the new Congregational Church next to the Co-op which provided tea coffee and facilities for the group during the day. If anyone wants to join and help the group in their work and have a good social time doing it, then email volunteer

Potterton Summer Fete on Saturday 3rd June 12.00 – 4.00. Kids wristbands at £5 each for unlimited access all afternoon. to all inflatables including “GLADIATOR”, funfair games, indoor disco, face painting, Vintage and modern Tractors, Nerv Blood bikes, Owl and Pussycat birds and Guarana Street Band Performance and Workshop. Fete from 12-4pm (with inflatables open until 6pm) loads more including BBQ, Mr Whippy, Candyfloss, Tombola, cupcakes, choc fondue and local fundraising stalls. Parking available in nearby field. Come along and join the fun at the Stead Inn – Organised by Potterton Community Group
