Appeal following fireraising in Balmedie

Police Scotland is appealing for information following an incident of fireraising at a disused property in the Balmedie area.

The incident is believed to have happened between 9:15pm and 9:45pm on Thursday 23 July at the property formerly known as Tarts and Crafts in the Eigie Road area.

As a result of the incident, an estimated low four figure sum of damage was caused.

PC Lauren Tate, who is investigating the crime, said: “This incident happened late on in the evening and we’re appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or has any information to come forward.”

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
