Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership’s First Strategic Plan – Have We Got It Right? With the introduction of the Public Bodies (joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014 Aberdeenshire Council and NHS Grampian have been working together to set up a new partnership to integrate health and social care services in Aberdeenshire.
Its aim is to provide a seamless response to everyone who uses the service; and to strengthen partnerships with our communities and third sector colleagues to support Aberdeenshire citizens to be happier, healthier and to live independently for as long as possible.
Earlier this year a range of meetings and events were held to ask local organisations and the public what should be contained in this new partnership’s strategic plan. A draft Strategic Plan has now been produced setting out priorities for the new partnership. In September, 12 community events are being hosted to share the draft plan with communities to ask if we have got the priorities right.
I hope that many local residents and community representatives will attend these meetings to shape and refine the plan.
The draft strategic plan will be available from the 17 August on the Health and Social Care Integration pages of NHS Grampian and Aberdeenshire council websites. I really want to hear from as many local people as possible, please come along to one of the events. The included flyer provides all the information about the 12 events and how to book a place. I look forward to meeting you in September.
