PLEASE HELP! SPRING CLEANING AT MAGNIFICENT 7s WOODS BALMEDIE SATURDAY 21ST MARCH 10 A.M.

Some time ago, Better Balmedie started fundraising to create a Community Sensory Garden in the village. Belhelvie Community Trust has taken the idea forward and it has now been agreed by Aberdeenshire Council that work can start within the Magnificent 7s Woods, with work to be carried out by the local community and Aberdeenshire Council Landscape Services team. We need to start right at the beginning, by clearing any rubbish out of the woods, cutting back any unwanted undergrowth and clearing the old wall at the entrance to the woods, ready for its rebuilding.

The Trust hopes that folks of all ages will get involved in this project, which will be a long-term one, starting small and gradually growing. Just an hour or two of your time would make such a difference! Please wear suitable footwear, and bring secateurs or loppers to help with the clearance.

SEE YOU THEN!

(The woods are accessible on foot up the road next to Library to Tarts and Crafts then turn left through gap in wall…)
